Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to hear the NYMDBB on Sunday - my husband and I were totally blown away by the performance! I know you said you had requests for Earth, Wind, and Fire songs, but I would like to put my two cents in... I am in my thirties, and I when I hear a big band play, what I really want is the 1940's music - SWING, and jazz!!! Give me Glenn Miller, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and the rest. I know you guys have to advertise your wedding band music, but from my perspective, the first half of the show by far eclipsed the second half... not because of the abilities of the band - (they are fabulous) - but because of the music selection. A little bit of 70's music goes a LONG way... and it wasn't just me - if you could have seen the folks sitting in the audience, you'd have seen them jumpin' and jivin' in their seats during the first half, and kind of just sitting through the second half. I was glad you chose to end the concert with "In The Mood"... because it put me (and everyone else) back IN the mood that was created by the first half of the show! I know it's tough trying to please everyone, but I figured if you hear back from folks, you'll have a more broad base of opinions to consider. I really liked the way you spotlighted the soloists - they put their hearts into every note, and really added a special feeling to the concert. You guys are just terriffic, and it was an honor to get to hear you play. Hope to do it again (and dance, this time) soon! 8-) Regards, Heide Hoegl
